COVINGTON BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT AT SCCC

The City of Covington awarded the Samaritan Car Care Clinic a $5,000 grant toward a beautification project, or a project that would benefit residents of Covington.

The Clinic proposed adding an area for pedestrians and bicyclists to be able to rest or address simple bicycle repairs as they go along Madison Avenue.  And the City liked the idea!

The grant covered the cost of adding a concrete pad, a bicycle rack, a table with two benches, an outdoor bicycle repair station, and a trash can.  Many thanks to Chamberlin Contracting for pouring the concrete slab, and to Clinic volunteer Tony Griffin for donating his time to anchor all of the equipment.
