Another Successful Collaboration between SVdPNKY, Life Learning Center and the Samaritan Car Care Clinic

On Friday, November 15, 2024, we were able to celebrate another successful collaboration among St. Vincent de Paul NKY, Life Learning Center, and the Samaritan Car Care Clinic.

Back in the summer, SVdPNKY and the Clinic received a donated Cadillac sedan from a SVdPNKY supporter.  The donor wanted her car to go to someone SVdPNKY was trying to help with transportation.

Earlier in the Fall, Life Learning Center made a referral to SVdPNKY for a potential microloan on behalf of Jennifer McMullen, a Life Learning Center graduate and member.

Jennifer was able to qualify for a microloan, and was beyond thrilled to the point of tears when she saw how nice of a car she was able to purchase.  And that started with the generous donation to SVdPNKY.

The Samaritan Car Care Clinic was able to do the necessary repairs to get the car ready for Jennifer, and now Jennifer can get to and from her job far more easily.

Attached is a photo of a very pleased Jennifer.  While in line at the Kenton County Clerk’s office, Jennifer shared her profound thanks for all that Life Learning Center has done for her.  Jennifer shared she was living on the streets and was an active drug user, but Life Learning Center was able to help get her life turned around.
