On April 18, 2023, Northern Kentucky University held its Spring Celebration for the Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project. A total of 15 undergraduate and graduate school classes were charged with distributing more than $30,000 in grant funds from eight different foundations, including the Mayerson Foundation, Greater Cincinnati Foundation, R. C. Durr Foundation, Elsa Sule Foundation, and Horizon Community Funds.
One of those classes was a graduate level English class taught by Dr. Janel Bloch. Her class was assigned 16 grant applications to review for a potential $2,000 grant, and one of those applications was from the Samaritan Car Care Clinic. The Clinic is pleased to share that Dr. Bloch’s class chose the Clinic to receive the $2,000 grant.
