Covington, KY – Members of Give Where You Live NKY awarded their 2025 third quarter grant to Samaritan Car Care Clinic to support its mission of providing reliable car care for low-income Northern Kentucky residents.
Founded in 2007, Samaritan Car Care Clinic helps families maintain safe and dependable vehicles so they can access jobs, school, medical appointments, and other vital services. The organization partners with volunteer mechanics, donors, and community organizations to deliver critical car repairs and maintenance for neighbors in need.
“Transportation is essential for families to thrive, and we are thrilled to support the Samaritan Car Care Clinic’s work in keeping people safely on the road,” said Nancy Grayson, President & CEO of Horizon Community Foundation. “This grant reflects the power of collective giving, when individuals come together, their combined resources make a much larger impact for our community.”
The Give Where You Live NKY giving circle pools contributions from members to award grants that directly benefit Northern Kentucky nonprofits. Each quarter, members hear from nonprofit finalists, vote, and award funds to the selected organization. To date, the group has invested more than $154,000 in local nonprofits serving Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties.
“We are deeply grateful for the support from Horizon Community Foundation and Give Where You Live NKY,” said Bruce Kintner, Director of Samaritan Car Care Clinic. “This grant helps us continue to serve working families who rely on their vehicles as a lifeline to opportunity.”
