St. Vincent de Paul - Northern Kentucky and the Samaritan Car Care Clinic recently teamed up to help SVdPNKY single mom and neighbor, Amelia M., obtain a new-to-her vehicle.
The Clinic received a donated Honda Accord that definitely had life left in it. After some repairs and maintenance, Amelia was able to use a SVdPNKY microloan to buy the Accord from the Clinic.
In Amelia’s own words, she “could not find a car for thousands of dollars more that didn’t then need thousands of dollars in repairs.” Thank you to all who donate to the Clinic and make these good news stories possible!

The Samaritan Car Care Clinic was able to do a vehicle title transfer for Amanda M. “I am so grateful for the team at the Samaritan Car Care Clinic, St. Vincent de Paul - Northern Kentucky, and Life Learning Center. Receiving this Honda not only allows me to get to and from work but also allows me the opportunity to see my older children who live an hour away and transport my youngest children. I am overwhelmed with happiness and relief. What you are doing here is incredible work. Thank you.”

Denise T. proudly stands beside her new-to-her van. Denise has been through a job training program at Brighton Center, so access to affordable and reliable transportation is a key part of Denise’s efforts to stay on the path to financial independence.
The Samaritan Car Care Clinic received a donated Honda Odyssey 7 passenger van perfect for Denise. After repairs to make it safe and more reliable, Brighton Center was able to nominate Denise for this vehicle placement through grant funding. Thank you to all of our supporters!
